2021 Ford Bronco Online Reservations Paused As Supply Chain Issues Continue in Michigan

Bill Brown Ford | September, 1 2021

Just over a year after the release of the Bronco, Ford has stopped taking online reservations due to supply demand. According to the announcement, “the decision to suspend reservations is due to the large number of Bronco 2- and 4-door model orders as well as current commodity constraints.”

Ford also stated in the memo that it would “communicate plans to reopen reservations whenever available,” so it doesn’t seem that this move will be permanent. Bronco reservations that have not been converted into an order can still do so. However, there are still supply constraints that could severely impact the time frame for building specific models.

Meanwhile, 2022 Ford Bronco order banks are scheduled to open between October and December, with production starting at the Ford Michigan Assembly Plant. New colors and features will be added to the Bronco for the 2022 model year. These include a new capable front bumper and special edition models.
